Audiologists Laurie Zollinger
and Mary Martin
Clinical Audiologists, Laurie Zollinger and Mary Martin, are specialists in
the assessment and treatment of hearing and vestibular disorders. Their assessment
of auditory systems is performed by thorough hearing evaluation, middle ear
function studies, vestibular evaluation, auditory brainstem evaluation and
otoacoustic emissions studies. Additionally Drs. Zollinger and Martin assess
hearing through OSHA specified testing at area industries.
Vestibular treatments include exercises designed to reduce dizziness.
After an evaluation, Dr. Laurie Zollinger teaches patients the exercises
to help regain steadiness and balance.
In the treatment of hearing loss, the Audiologists may refer to or work closely
with the physician for medical treatment. When medical treatment is not able to
restore hearing loss or when there is nerve hearing loss, the Audiologist fits
hearing aids.
Hearing aids come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Dr. Zollinger and Dr. Martin
work closely with you to select an instrument that best fits your needs.
You are given a 30 day trial to wear the instrument before making a decision
whether or not to purchase it. The aids may be exchanged or returned if unwanted
for any reason. Our goal is to help you hear better, thereby allowing you to enjoy
life more fully and to feel more safe. Hearing aid batteries, repairs and accessories
are available as well as custom swim plugs, ear monitors and hearing protectors.
If you are experiencing hearing or balance difficulties, need new or repaired
hearing aids, earplugs, or ear monitors, please call 815-632-0400 or 815-625-8179.
